Our Mission

To breed the best gaited foundation type Morgan horses we can.

Old foundation type conformation is our #1 priority. We breed for a refined head, long hip, short back, and straight legs. Once these criteria are met, then comes gait and disposition/trainability. If we can add some height and color to the mix without sacrificing anything we certainly will.

Our Name

“Proud” in the sense we mean it has been an inside joke in the Frandsen family. We believe it’s ok to be “proud” of your work, children, and even horses. We don’t believe it is ok to be arrogant, or prideful. Growing up, my friends who had other breeds of horses would often say, “you’ve got the Morgan pride!”

If gait and color were the only objectives, we would choose another breed. We want what a Morgan is known for – what no other breed can compete with – and we want it in a gaited package. We want horses of which we can be “proud”.
